Blue Foot Red Foot - Flats

EDIT 2: Removed the other watermarks and lowered the opacity of the one still remaining. Hopefully this is my last edit, lol.

EDIT: Forgot to mention.. that circle thing represents my light source. :] Just a FYI. <3

They started as an idea to make some animal/human hybrids with the Red and Blue-footed Boobies (the BIRDS, silly) in mind, but they shifted to this. Warrior/native-like characters who I've named Azu (AH•zoo) and Roja (ROW•ha) respectively.
I may keep them, though I'm not sure what to do with them yet. They didn't come out very birdish but I did give them some of the features, such as the feet (the most obvious), the black and yellow/greenish eyes of the Blue-footed Booby, the blue shadow around Roja's eyes to match the blue feathers around the Red Booby's eyes, so on and so forth. :] Now that I think of it, I could've given them some feathers or SOMETHING, but it slipped my mind. I may decide to develop a story around these two (which sounds better and better the more I think about it...)

But anyway, enjoy this unfinished piece. I apologize for the horribly sketchy lines in there, but I initially planned to "paint" this and use the lines a guide. Well.. we see how that turned out. I don't think I'm necessarily cut out to paint digitally like other artists, but perhaps that's just me giving up too easily. I see so many that use Photoshop so well for doing that, but I just never seem to know where (or how) to start, despite the many tutorials I read. :/
I'll get it one day I suppose. Or maybe it's just not a style for me. *shrugs* Who knows? :]
